The wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin, Victoria Goodwin, was arrested on March 6 for allegedly conspiring to have Goodwin murdered. She is being held on a $100,000 bail.

Investigators found messages between Victoria, 32, and a prison inmate orchestrating the murder of Goodwin. One of Victoria’s texts read, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

Police assert that further texts showed Victoria’s plan to pay the inmate $11,000 in October 2024, and other messages mentioned an upfront payment of $2,500. An investigation into Victoria was launched when the phone the inmate’s phone was confiscated.

Victoria’s plan would have seen Goodwin killed by a hitman while he was in California filming Ghost Adventures. A message from the inmate to the hitman read, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room…I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”

Victoria denied any conspiracy and claimed she had no memory of the text messages between her and the inmate. She did, however, confirm that she and Goodwin had been having problems in their relationship, and asserted the texts were merely, “daydreaming or fantasizing about being without her husband,” not an orchestrated murder attempt. She claimed the messages regarding the $2,500 upfront payment to the inmate were associated with the cost of the cellphone.

Goodwin has said that Victoria’s scheme has taken him completely off-guard, and he is “blindsided and devastated at this turn of events,” as he “thought he was in a happy marriage.” Goodwin and Victoria were married in August 2022.

The hitman has avoided arrest so far.
