In a sit-down conversation with uInterview, voice actor Eric Bauza spoke on his experience voicing iconic characters in The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, which follows the iconic characters Porky Pig and Daffy Duck as they discover secret alien mind-control at a bubble-gum factory. Bauza, speaking on the process of creating the voice for Daffy, a character with a long history of portrayls, told uInterview founder Erik Meers: “I search high and low for original performances of iconic characters I’m about to take on myself, and what I love to do first is kind of find, like, if I can, raw sessions. Again, having spent a lifetime of watching these shorts, it’s kind of like going to see your favorite singer – it’s like, you’ve heard those songs a million times, in your ear pods, in the car, and then you go pay them money to hear that same song but in person. That’s how I feel about these characters – I know every word to every song that they’ve written.” The Looney Tunes movie will be released in theaters on March 14.
