Rapper MoneySign Suede, 22, Stabbed To Death In Prison
Jaime Brugada, a rapper who went by the name MoneySign Suede, was fatally stabbed in the neck on Tuesday night at a California prison. Law enforcement officials are investigating the death as a homicide. Brugada was 22 years old.
A statement from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said that officers responded when Brugada was not found in his cell during a “regular institutional count” at around 9:55 p.m. They found him “unresponsive” with “injuries consistent with a homicide.” The department did not immediately reveal how Brugada died or where he was found.
The rapper was then sent to a medical facility within the prison. A life-saving procedure was conducted, but he was pronounced dead later that night.

Brugada was sentenced to three years in prison late last year for two gun-related offenses.
His attorney, Nicholas Rosenberg, stated that the motive for the alleged homicide is unknown, further noting that he was a “very popular guy” and “mild-mannered.”
MoneySign Suede was a rapper on the rise from Huntington Park, a city in the Los Angeles area. His music video for “Back to the Bag” has more than 7 million views on YouTube.
