Chris Noth Cut From ‘And Just Like That’ Finale After Sex Abuse Scandal
Cynthia Nixon, the actress who plays Miranda Hobbes in Sex and The City and its sequel series And Just Like That…, told Entertainment Tonight that “we are very lucky” that Chris Noth was cut out of the finale of the series after he was accused of sexual assault shortly following his character’s death in the series premiere.
He was previously spotted filming a cameo scene with Sarah Jessica Parker in Paris, but that the footage will not air.
Noth was first accused by two women shortly after the episode aired, with a third and fourth coming forward in late December. Many of the accounts shared similarities, including the young age of the victims, beginning periods of inappropriate flirting by Noth, and eventually, a violent assault would occur after he gained trust.
Noth has denied all of the allegations, saying in part of his response that “these stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross.”
The actor has since been dropped from A3 Artists Agency, lost a deal to sell his tequila brand for around $12 million, and the Peloton ad which was created in conjunction with his character’s strange onscreen death has been pulled.
