Monmouth College To Host Bruce Springsteen Archives

Monmouth College in New Jersey will be curating works from Bruce Springsteen‘s career.

NEW JERSEY COLLEGE TO HOST BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ARCHIVE

The school has already been the home of the Bruce Springsteen Special Collection for 5 years, and the new archive will continue to preserve the legacy of The Boss. It will feature items from the rocker’s personal collections of writings, photos, artifacts, and other memorabilia from his prolific career.

“Monmouth University is excited by the opportunity to grow our relationship with Bruce Springsteen,” said university President Paul Brown. Springsteen, 67, announced with the college during an “intimate conversation” in which he told his life story, moderated by the Grammy Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli.

During the discussion, Springsteen talked about his classic album Born to Run and the importance of music continues to be politically active, now and in the future. “I tend to believe music is important to activism in the sense that it stirs passion, it stirs interest, it stirs curiosity, it moves you to question your own beliefs, it strikes straight to your emotions, and it stirs you up inside.”
