Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, whose financial woes frequently make the headlines, have been hit with a large tax lien.

The state of California have hit Spelling and McDermott with a tax lien for $259,108.23 on their property for unpaid 2014 state taxes, reported E! News. Until the debt is paid off, the state can go after whatever Spelling and McDermott currently own, or what they will own in the future.

Back in January, it was revealed that Spelling was being sued by American Express for failing to pay off a credit card balance totaling nearly $38,000. According to court documents, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum did not make a $1,070 payment in June of last year.

After the American Express story broke, Spelling insisted that her and McDermott’s financial troubles were overblown.

“We’re doing a great new series, I’m really happy, we’re doing a new show on Cooking Channel—we’re not bankrupt, we’re not struggling, we’re fine!” Spelling told People magazine at the time.  “[The] kids [are] good, family’s good, I’m healthy, finances [are] good.”
