Big Ang, Star of ‘Mob Wives,’ Would “Rather Be Alone” Than With Her Husband Neil Murphy
Big Ang and Neil Murphy have been married for six years, but are now filing for divorce.
The 55-year-old Mob Wives star revealed on this week’s Dr. Oz Show that she “felt he never stepped up to the plate.” Her exact words were: “I feel now it’s too late, bye, I rather be by myself.” To this, the audience began to applaud. She went on: “I been taking care of everything since I been married to him. I don’t need it. So, I rather be alone. And that’s what I did.”
Big Ang’s real name is Angela Raiola. She went under 2 surgeries last year to remove tumors from her throat and wore a silk scarf during this interview. Big Ang is now cancer-free even though doctors at the time only gave her a 30% survival rate. Doctors are now working to improve her immune system.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m gonna be fine, and sometimes I just don’t think I am,” she told Dr. Oz.
The rest of Big Ang’s family has been supporting her, starting a GoFundMe page to help her doctor’s fees. She has already surpassed her goal.
“If it wasn’t for them, how would I get through this?” said Big Ang.
Murphy hasn’t publicly addressed the split. But he did share a photo of his grandchild saying, “Me and my baby only thing making me smile these days want to tell everyone thanks for all the love.
