Anna Faris, who welcomed her son, Jack, with her husband, Chris Pratt, nine weeks prematurely, worries about having a second high-risk pregnancy but wants another child.

Anna Faris Wants Second Child

When asked about the possibility of giving birth again, Faris admits that while she wants to, it would be a bit more complicated the second time around. “We want to, very much so, but it will definitely be a whole new complication because now I’m, like, a high-risk pregnancy, so it requires some different monitoring,” Faris told Health magazine.

“My doctor’s like, ‘I don’t think you’ll have to be on bed rest the whole time,” she added. “And I’m like, ‘I’m on a show.’ ”

Faris, 38, was shocked when her water broke nine weeks prior to her due date, requiring her to go on bed rest for a week and welcome Jack eight weeks premature.

“I was having an uneventful, happy pregnancy, and so it was really a huge surprise that my water broke in the middle of the night,” she explained. “I wish we didn’t have this biological clock. I’m thinking we have to start talking about [having more kids], looking at all kinds of options.”

“I’m so lucky that I have a partner in Chris who’s in the same industry and really understands what’s required of me in terms of time commitment,” Faris added. “But I was like, ‘Oh man, this s— is f—— hard.’ And there’s your headline for this story!”

Back in December, Pratt opened up about the scary days leading up to his son’s birth, and the equally tense days that followed as Jack gained strength in the NICU. After a month, they were able to bring their boy home and have since seen him do remarkably well.

“Jack went from a small, helpless little squirt to a strong, smart, happy, funny and vocal boy,” Pratt said. “He loves monster trucks and Daniel Tiger. Believe it or not, he loves vegetables — broccoli and cherry tomatoes are his favorite food. He’s a deejay.”
