Maggie Rizer Pregnant With Baby Boy

Supermodel Maggie Rizer and husband Alex Mehran are expecting a baby boy in November, Rizer announced on her blog on Friday. “It’s true! Alex and I couldn’t possibly be more excited! We will be welcoming a baby boy this November!” she wrote. “We’ve been having lots of fun these past few months getting ready for the new arrival and will be sure to let you know how things are with our ever-growing family.”

However, Rizer, 33, says there is one member of the family that seems to be less than thrilled about the new addition to the family: her dog Bea. “Bea is a little upset as she hoped to be gaining a little sister rather than another brother but… we told her to keep her paws up for the next time around," Rizer wrote on her blog. She also noted that she was still a newbie when it came to babies and pregnancy. “I've recently learned that the stork does not in fact drop the baby by the door,” she wrote.

Rizer and businessman Mehran wed in September 2010 in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The fashionista, who starred in the Sex and the City movie and Prince William and Catherine: A Fairytale Wedding, and has also appeared on shows like America's Next Top Model and Stylista, has changed gears in recent years, moving from modeling to working as an AIDS activist. Her biological father, Kevin Rizer, died from the disease in 1992. She caught the public’s eye in 2005 when her stepfather, John Breen, was convicted of larceny and fraud for swindling her out of her multi-million dollar fortune.
