Vanessa Hudgens Talks Nudity In 'Spring Breakers'

Vanessa Hudgens saw plenty of nudity on the set of her new movie Spring Breakers, which is about four girls who commit a robbery in order to go on a week-long getaway. To add a level of realism to the film, director Harmony Korine surrounded Hudgens and her costars — Selena Gomes, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and James Franco — with actual people on their own wild spring break trips.

“Harmony would literally put us with real spring breakers," Hudgens told Vulture. "We were filming this party scene, and there were these two girls — actual spring breakers — on the ground, topless, making out with each other. And then the bottoms started to come off, and I was like, OH MY GOD!”

Hudgens also expressed discomfort with having to perform a threesome sex scene with Franco and Benson.

“It was very nerve-racking for me,” Hudgens told Glow Magazine. “I told my agent that I never want to do it ever again.”

Hudgens skyrocketed to fame in the mid-2000s with her role as Gabrielle Montez in the High School Musical films, however she is quickly shedding her Disney-star image. After Spring Breakers, Hudgens will appear in the action film Machete Kills, directed by Robert Rodriguez. Spring Breakers will be released in New York and Los Angeles Mar. 15, with a nationwide release scheduled for the following week. —Hal Sundt
