CNN’s Don Lemon issued a biting retort on Tuesday to Bill O’Reilly‘s attempts to discredit him on Twitter. On Tuesday afternoon, the Fox News host accused Lemon of not covering Susan Rice, Barack Obama‘s former national security advisor who has been accused by Donald Trump of mishandling national intelligence information.

Don Lemmon Tweets Fierce Retort To Bill O’Reilly’s Accusation

This tweet comes amid sexual harassment allegations of inappropriate behavior made against O’Reilly. Since The New York Times had revealed five settlements amounting to $13 million made by O’Reilly or Fox News against the allegations, the news channel has lost nearly 15 of its advertisers. These lost sponsors include: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Consumer Products, and Allstate, among others.

When Lemon, 51, got wind of O’Reilly’s attempts to discredit him, he fired back with his own tweet. He refuted the claim that he didn’t cover the Rice story, writing, “False. I did not refuse to cover the story. But I did cover your sexual harassment allegations. Did you?”

O’Reilly, 67, has been with Fox since 1996, and has denied all the sexual allegations made against him. The right-wing news channel apparently bought the host’s story, since they just announced that O’Reilly’s contract has been renewed for $18.5 million.
