Comedian Andy Dick was recently sentenced to 14 days for a sexual battery case. He checked in on December 6 and was out on December 7 at L.A. County Jail serving only one day. Dick was charged with two misdemeanor charges for his actions, one for sexual battery and one for only battery. Dick’s judge mandated him to complete community service and he failed.

Dick was lucky to only have to serve one day – he was released because of overcrowding in the jail. California has a chronic overcrowding problem in jails, and has been forced to release many prisoners early.

The comedian was charged because a woman had filed a police report claiming he grabbed her butt twice as he passed her on a sidewalk in April. Dick has had a history with sexual harassment. In April 2018, he pled guilty to a misdemeanor after allegedly groping his Uber Driver. The male driver insisted Dick extended over from the backseat and grabbed his crotch.

Earlier in October, Dick was also involved in a weird street fight where he attempted to grab food from an Uber Eats driver. After a few moments of arguing and slapping, Dick was slammed to the ground and hit his head on the floor.

Dick argues that his constant sexual harassment incidents are because times are changing and his upbringing is clashing with our current culture. He seems to not know what is and isn’t appropriate.

“I don’t know the difference between sexual harassment and trying to get a date,” Dick said. “In the ’70s, all the girlfriends I got was by kissing and licking their cheek. I don’t know anymore. There were beautiful women and beautiful guys on the set. I flirt with them. I might kiss someone on the set and ask them to go to dinner. They are the ones that took it south.”

Dick was kicked off the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2007 for repeatedly touching Ivanka Trump, President Trump’s daughter who appeared as a guest.
