At least 17 people were taken to hospital after a Delta Airlines flight arriving from Minneapolis crashed upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday. Footage shows huge plumes of black smoke wafting from the aircraft as another plane landed nearby. In a press conference, Deborah Flint, CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, said 80 people were aboard the plane at the time and at least 17 people were transported to hospital with injuries. There were no fatalities. “At this time we do not know of any of those passengers having critical injuries,” Flint said. An investigation into the cause of the crash was underway. It is the eighth major air crash of a U.S. aircraft in the last month. (Credit: Encounter the World via Storyful)
