Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office released photos from inside Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa’s home amid a probe into the couple’s deaths. The bodies of Hackman, 95, and Arakawa, 65, were discovered by deputies on Feb. 26, after they were called to the couple’s home north of Santa Fe to conduct a welfare check. In March, the Office of the Medical Investigator in New Mexico determined that Hackman had died of severe heart disease. Arakawa’s cause of death was determined to be hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.
