Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling opened up about her divorce from Dean McDermott in her podcast misSPELLING.

Spelling, 50, and McDermott, 57, first separated in June 2023, with McDermott making a public announcement through a now-deleted Instagram post. Nine months later in March, Spelling officially filed for divorce from McDermott. The couple were married since 2006 and have five children together.

Following their separation, Spelling and the children moved into a motel, RV park and rental home. Spelling moved out of the rental home and their neighbor had a standoff with the police involving an AR-15.

In her podcast, Spelling revealed her feelings amidst her divorce.

“I’ve never felt more alone. I don’t feel worth loving,” Spelling said. “That’s the truth. And that’s something that’s just in you, it’s not something I wanted or created. That starts when you’re young. [Changing it is] not easy to do . . . I don’t know if you can.”

In the episode, Spelling admitted she had wanted to get a divorce for “like . . . 15 years.” The actress claimed she stuck through to not hurt McDermott and for the sake of their children.

Though the divorce filing cited irreconcilable differences, Spelling said the had a “very quick, passionate falling in love period.” The two began their relationship after both cheating on their spouses at the time in 2005. The couple later wed in 2006.

Spelling also said there were “red flags” she saw early on but did not address, such as “anger issues” McDermott allegedly had during their marriage which was “fueled by alcohol.” In November 2023, McDermott also struggled with alcoholism and talked about spending time in a sober living facility during Thanksgiving.

Spelling is seeking sole physical custody of their five children and joint legal custody with McDermott. Spelling is also requesting spousal support from McDermott but will not give any to her ex-husband.
