Taylor Swift kicked off her five-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium on Thursday with a surprise guest appearance that sent fans into a frenzy.

During the acoustic portion of her Eras Tour show, Swift welcomed fellow pop star Ed Sheeran to the stage. The duo thrilled the audience with a mashup of their collaborations “Everything Has Changed” from Swift’s Red album and “End Game” from Reputation. They also treated fans to a rendition of Sheeran’s hit “Thinking Out Loud.”

Social media erupted with excitement as concertgoers shared their reactions. One fan on X, described the crowd as “SCREAMING” over the unexpected performance.

Swift, 34, took a moment to praise Sheeran, calling him “one of my best friends in the world” and likening him to “a second brother.” She reminisced about their previous tour together and commended Sheeran’s work ethic, noting his frequent performances at Wembley.

“He’s on tour right now, and he’s probably so tired, but he wanted to come play for you and do this for all of us,” Swift told the audience.

After Sheeran’s departure, Swift continued to surprise fans with a piano medley combining “King of My Heart” from “Reputation” and “The Alchemy” from her album The Tortured Poets Department.

The star-studded opening night sets a high bar for Swift’s remaining four shows at Wembley Stadium. The London concerts are part of her final dates of her blockbuster Eras Tour, which has become a global phenomenon, breaking ticket sales records and boosting local economies.
