Taylor Swift Added Breakup Song ‘The 1’ To Tour Setlist Before News Of Joe Alwyn Split
Taylor Swift may have hinted at her breakup with actor Joe Alwyn weeks before news broke of the pair’s split on Saturday when she replaced the first tune in the Folklore portion of her Eras Tour with a breakup song.
The singer shocked fans by taking out “Invisible String,” a track that most fans believe is about Alwyn and centers around the realization that every past heartbreak was an act of fate to get you to the person you’re supposed to be with, for “The 1,” a song about thinking back on a past love.

The lyrics to “The 1” include the lines: “In my defense, I have none / For never leaving well enough alone / But it would’ve been fun / If you would’ve been the one.”
Swift first made the switch at her March 31 concert in Arlington, Texas, and has continued performing the track since then.
After the news of Swift and Alwyn’s breakup, fans speculated if the setlist change was due to the split.
The music artist was first seen with Alwyn in May 2017, but it was revealed that the pair had been dating privately for months. Since then, the couple has made several appearances in public but kept many details about their relationship under wraps.
