The husband of former Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn has been arrested for the second time within a week.

The LAPD confirmed that Christian Richard, whose legal last name is Dumontet, was taken into custody on Wednesday evening for alleged violation of an emergency protective order. At 11:40 p.m. officers responded to a call regarding Dumontet’s violation of a restraining order. This arrest follows Richard’s previous apprehension on Tuesday at around 2 p.m., which was in connection with a domestic violence incident that involved his and Quinn’s son.

The LAPD reported, “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim, but the object hit the victim’s child causing injury.” Dumontet was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, and his and Quinn’s son, Christian Georges Dumontet, received medical attention from paramedics.

Quinn and Dumontet tied the knot in December 2019 and welcomed their first child together, Christian, in May 2021. Quinn rose to fame as a cast member on the popular Netflix real estate docudrama Selling Sunset, in which Dumontet made occasional appearances. Dumontet used the fake last name Richard instead of his legal last name while alongside his wife on the show for privacy reasons.

Quinn has previously mentioned in a 2020 interview that Dumontet preferred to maintain a low profile. She described him as the complete opposite of herself and emphasized his focus on work and travel rather than attention or style.

In May 2022, Quinn announced that she and her husband had become business partners and joined forces to launch their crypto real estate venture, RealOpen. This partnership came after Quinn departed from the Oppenheim Group, the real estate agency featured on Selling Sunset, as she pursued her new business venture alongside Richard.

On the reality series, Quinn was accused of bribing a client of another co-star to work with her. Quinn denied the charge.
