Prince Harry Inherits $8.5 Million From Family Estate On 40th Birthday – And Brother Prince William Is ‘Disgusted’ By It

On Sunday, Prince Harry will celebrate his 40th birthday at his home in Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markel and their two children.

In a statement to BBC about the age change, Harry shared, “I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40…whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world.”

He continued, “Becoming a father of two incredibly kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life and sharpened my focus in all my work…Being a dad is one of life’s greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place.”

Harry has another reason to celebrate – he will inherit $8.5 million from his late great-grandmother’s estate on his birthday. His brother, Prince William, is reportedly “disgusted” by Harry’s windfall, greater than what he received from the same trust.

A report by the Mail on Sunday prompted speculation that Harry was looking for a way to return to royal life, as it suggested that Harry had been in contact with friends and former aides about possible ways for him to reintegrate into the family. However, Harry has not said anything about that possibility, and, in a recent ITV documentary, he specifically listed his concern about his family’s safety when he returns home. 

Currently in legal action with the British government due to their removal of his police protection, Harry voiced his fear, “All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read, and whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me.”

Despite Harry’s estrangement from his father, King Charles, sources have shared that he suspects Charles is the only person who can rectify the security issue.

After his 40th birthday, Harry has plans to visit New York City to meet with representatives of the Diana Award, the charity named in honor of his mother Princess Diana.
