Paul Walker’s two younger brothers, Caleb and Cody Walker will step in to complete their brother’s scenes in Fast & Furious 7, Universal announced Tuesday, April 15.

Caleb And Cody Walker Will Step In For Brother Paul Walker

Cody Walker has already stepped into his older brother’s shoes when he moved to California to work as Brand Manager for Paul’s foundation Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) in January.

“We can all make a difference in this world and I am honored to join the ROWW team in fulfilling my brother’s legacy and ensure that the good my brother did lives on,” Cody wrote when he announced his move.

It seems Cody is ready to honor Paul Walker’s “legacy” in another one of his brother’s endeavors: the Fast & Furious franchise. He and Caleb have both agreed to work on completing Paul Walker’s Fast & Furious 7 scenes.

According to the film’s official statement, Walker had finished filming the majority of his scenes for the film, with his dramatic scenes completed and only a few actions sequences left undone when he died suddenly in November. His brothers will be stand ins for Walker in the remaining action sequences and the production is also rumored to be preparing to use CGI to re-create close-ups of Walker as necessary.

“We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our Fast family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too,” reads the statement.

Filmmakers are also working on re-writing the script and going through the footage already captured to see how they can manipulate the film to give Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, a fitting ending.

“We are just under a year from the release of Fast & Furious 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role,” the statement continues.

No word as to what that ending might be, but certainly fans are hoping that the beloved FBI agent-turned outlaw, Brian O’Conner, will be given a happy ending.

Fast & Furious 7 Complete Statement

“The Fast & Furious saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans.

Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grief Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film.

We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue. We believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too. Paul had already shot his dramamtic scenes and most of his action for Fast & Furious 7, and it’s among the strongest work of his career.

We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our Fast family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.

We are just under a year from the release of Fast & Furious 7, and this film is the most important we’ve ever done together. It will allow the character of Brian O’Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role.

We wanted to take a moment to speak to our fans directly and thank you for the love and support you always show us as we resume our work.”

Fast & Furious 7 is currently filming action sequences in Abu Dhabi. The film will be released April 10, 2015.

Vin Diesel Accepts Best Onscreen Duo MTV Movie Award In Paul Walker's Honor

Walker was honored at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 13, where his Fast & Furious co-star Jordana Brewster introduced a tribute video to the actor. Walker and co-star Vin Diesel also won the award for Best Onscreen Duo. Though the category was not televised, Diesel released a video of his acceptance speech from the set of Fast & Furious 7.
