Pamela Anderson made some shocking revelations in her new memoir Love, Pamela.

While the actress and model spent much of the book discussing her artistic inspirations and recounting her childhood, she also revealed some stories about her former lovers including her ex-husband Kid Rock.

According to Anderson, Kid Rock – whose real name is Robert James Ritchie – didn’t like her hanging out with her close friend, David LaChapelle. Despite the photographer being gay, Ritchie was apparently jealous of their friendship, and she said Ritche “didn’t believe David was really gay.”

“David and I have always been very close, soulmates in some ways,” she writes. “I’d found someone who accepted me, full stop, and nurtured and instigated the artistic side of me like no one else.”

Anderson also revealed the surprising reason she and Ritchie broke up. She recalled the time she made a cameo in the 2006 Borat movie. Her appearance in the mockumentary enraged Ritchie so much, he stormed out of a screening at the home of entertainment executive Ron Meyer where “lots of important industry people” were in attendance. He drove off, leaving her alone at the event.

“I didn’t tell [Robert] I was in the movie, because I wanted to surprise him,” she writes. “I forgot about the part in the film that referenced the ‘sex tape.’ Bob stormed out, calling me a whore and worse. He was embarrassed, and his reaction was not thought through.”

She continued that when she got home, he was smashing a photo on the wall.

“He said he was sick of waking up to a picture of me and David LaChapelle every day. But it wasn’t me and David – it was Marilyn Monroe and Bert Stern,” she said. “We broke up. I didn’t stay in touch with [Robert].”

Anderson and Ritchie were married from 2006 to 2007. Her first marriage to Tommy Lee was from 1995 to 1998. The memoir and recently released Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story both chronicle her marriages, her stolen sex tape and her life as the reigning blonde bombshell.
