Olivia Wilde is speaking out about her opposition to GOP Presidential candidate, Donald Trump and is remaining steadfast in her views despite running afoul of some vociferous Trump supporters on Twitter.

Wilde has taken particular umbrage with the Donald’s views on immigration and says she’s disgusted by his hardline rhetoric on the issue.

“The fact that we can have someone running for president who openly projects that xenophobia is really sickening, particularly when you look at a film like this and remember our roots,” Wilde said, speaking to Page Six. Wilde made the comments at the premiere of Robert DeNiro‘s short film, Ellis, which is centered around the historical landmark gateway into America for immigrants.

Trump-lover’s took swiftly to Twitter to attack the actress.

“It made me think of the current refugee crisis,” the actress continued. “[America] was a beacon of hope for so many…yet some in this country have developed this xenophobia that totally conflicts with what we’re based on.”

She was quick to make known to Trump-followers that their comments had little affect on her, taking to Twitter to challenge the criticism.
