After taking a break from media and the spotlight in October 2016, Demi Lovato is back with a new single and music video to go along with it.

The singer’s first single since her hiatus, “Sorry Not Sorry,” was released on July 11. The music video for the empowering song just dropped today, July 19. Lovato tweeted a link to the video for fans to watch. At one point the Twitter hashtag #WatchSorryNotSorry was trending number one worldwide.

It appears in the video that the singer hosted a house party and wanted to re create it. On June 29, 2017 she invited all of her friends, including Paris Hilton, Jamie Foxx, and Wiz Khalifa and filmed the rest of the music video. In a caption under one of her teaser clips, Lovato shares that she “Can’t remember the last time I had this much fun,” referring to filming the music video. On Instagram, Hilton called it her “new summer anthem.”

“Sorry Not Sorry” has been referred to as a lighthearted song. Lovato has been promoting her song nation-wide at house parties and generally more intimate events. She uses the hashtag #SNSHouseParty for her House Party promo tour. She recently joined The Chainsmokers on stage at their Las Vegas residency.
