Netflix released two new trailers for the upcoming original documentary Amanda Knox about the 2007 trial of American-studying-abroad Amanda Knox.

NEW TRAILERS FOR HBO’S AMANDA KNOX DOCUMENTARY

Knox and her Italian boyfriend at the time Raffaele Sollecito were convicted of the murder of Knox’s roommate Meredith Kercher while studying abroad in Perugia, Italy. Knox was freed on an acquittal in 2011 and, in 2015, the murder conviction for both Knox and Sollecito was overturned by the highest court in Italy. Though the court cases may be over, many still believe Knox had something to do with Kercher’s murder.

The Netflix documentary about the incident is set to come out Sept. 30. In anticipation, Netflix released two trailers, one entitled “Believe Her,” the other “Suspect Her.” In the former, Knox states how she was innocent and this was a terrifying experience for her. “Before Italy,” she tells the camera, “I had a happy life.” The latter trailer sets the audience up to be wary of Knox. “Either I’m a psychopath in sheep’s clothing,” says Knox, again looking directly at the camera. “Or I am you.”

Given the success of murder docs recently, such as HBO’s The Jinx and Netflix’s Making a MurdererAmanda Knox should see similar success. See both trailers below.
