Weston Cage, the son of actor Nicholas Cage, has been accused of hitting his mother, Christina Fulton.

Fulton has been seen sporting a black eye and facial bruises. Weston is a suspect in a battery report involving his mom at her home in Los Angeles on April 28.

On Monday, Fulton issued a statement about the incident. “Weston and I had no argument prior to the incident,” Fulton said. “On Sunday, April 28, I was reached out to by several of Weston’s best friends for assistance because they were experiencing Weston in a mental-health crisis… Upon my arrival, I was met by my son, who clearly was in a state of a mental-health breakdown, which in turn became a horrific experience. I have always supported helping my son with his mental health struggles. I am doing all I can to get him the continued support he needs.”

A verbal fight resulted in injuries and police were called to the scene. First responders also arrived, but Fulton did not go to the hospital.

It is unknown if law enforcement will consider this a felony battery case. No arrests have been made as the 33-year-old left before officers could make it to the scene.

The photos depict Fulton at a parking meter with bruises on her face of varying color. One of her eyes was noticeable, but others were fading.
