Glee fans who tune in to watch the show's musical numbers as well as to witness the bullying antics of Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester will have one less reason to watch Glee: The 3D Concert Movie. Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch, has been cut from the movie, despite the fact that she appears in the film's trailer warning audiences, "Please, save your money. This thing sucks.”

Lynch will, however, appear in the DVD when it is released next month. "We're doing another version in a couple of weeks on DVD," creator Ryan Murphy said at a press conference. "Jane will be on that." The actress was not on tour with the Glee singers this summer, though pre-taped segments featuring her character were shown on screen at the concerts.

Next month, Lynch will host the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. "I think a little bit of Sue Sylvester goes a long way," the actress told The Vancouver Sun about whether or not she will bring her Glee persona to the hosting gig. "I think there are some ideas in there for Sue Sylvester. But I think we'll probably leave her track suit on the Paramount lot." The Emmys air on September 18, and Glee returns to Fox two days later.
