Harold Henthorn has been sentenced to life behind bars for the murder of his second wife, Toni Henthorn.

Harold Henthorn Gets Life In Prison

U.S. District Judge R. Brooke Jackson announced that Henthorn would serve a life sentence in prison without the chance of parole for pushing his wife off of a cliff in a Colorado courtroom on Tuesday, reported CBS Denver.

During the sentencing announcement, Toni’s brother Barry Bertolet read a statement from their brother Todd.

“This trial was about the last moment in Toni’s life and the moment that Toni took her last breath,” Bertolet read, according to the Denver Post. “To Toni Bertolet Henthorn’s family, her friends, and the people for whom she cared, Toni’s life was about the moments that took our breath away.”

While Henthorn’s trial for Toni’s 2012 murder has ended in a conviction, Henthorn has yet to be tried for the 1995 death of his first wife, Sarah Lynn Henthorn. Deputies are apparently looking into the case, according to a spokeswoman for the Douglas Couty Sheriff’s Department. Sarah Lynn was crushed to death by a car while trying to change a tired. Sarah Lynn, like Toni, died near the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary.

When Henthorn spoke during his sentencing trial, he maintained his innocence in both cases. “I did not kill Toni or anyone else,” Henthorn said.

Craig Truman, Henthorn’s attorney, has previously stated that he will appeal the conviction.
