Kate Gosselin and her twin daughters Mady and Cara made a second effort on morning TV – this time on The View – to convince the public that they’re well-adjusted 13-year-olds.

Gosselin Twins On 'The View'

Much to the relief of the Gosselin matriarch, Mady and Cara were much more talkative than they were with the Today show’s Savannah Guthrie last week. The girls were willing to dish on their chores at home and how they feel about their younger sextuplet siblings – Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah.

According to Mady, the sextuplets “are annoying,” and elaborated, “It’s not even just the group! It’s every single one of them.”

When the topic turned to a more serious matter, that of their parents' divorce, Mady, after a pause, was prepared with an answer.

"Honestly, it wasn't hard for us,” she said. “I think it was harder for [our mom], definitely. It didn't really affect me and we still saw both parents. We were little, we were like 8 or 9, so we knew what was going on, but we didn't see the stuff [in the media]."

Kate, adding on to her daughter’s response, said, “I kept them sheltered, and yeah, it's necessary and it drew the nine of us so much closer. There's really nothing off limits we don't talk about. Clearly there's hard times and strange discussions, and probably not preferable things, but we're very open and the girls hang out in my room with me every night and we chat."

Mady & Cara Won't Discuss Dad Jon Gosselin

Barbara Walters, getting at the topic that’s of the most interest – the girls’ relationship with their father Jon Gosselin – failed to receive a response from either Cara or Mady. They both shrugged their shoulders and looked at their mother. Despite Kate’s prodding, that question would remain unanswered.
