Jon Gosselin Waits Tables To Make Ends Meet
Jon Gosselin has opted to wait tables at a local restaurant to make money after finding himself hard-pressed to find work following his reality TV stardom on Jon & Kate Plus 8 with his ex-wife Kate Gosselin and eight children.
When the Gosslin’s TLC show was in its prime, the couple was raking in the money. They had also put out a book that made it onto the New York Times bestsellers list. Immediately after the divorce, Jon Gosselin seemed to relish his new freedom and the money he’d earned because of the show – even going so far as to head to France for some yacht partying.
Now that his resources have dried up, Gosselin has moved into a cabin near the $1.3 million house that Kate continues to live in with the children, reported People. Without many career prospects, Gosslin decided to take a job as a waiter at the Black Dog restaurant in Beckersville, Pa.
"At first I was nervous because I was like, 'How are people going to react?'" Gosselin admitted to People. "But then I'm thinking, 'Well, it's fun and I get to talk to people.' And they technically already know me … they're like, 'Are you the guy?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm the guy.' "
Gosselin, whose cabin has neither Internet nor cable, will probably have to save up his earnings and forgo those luxuries as Kate Gosselin recently filed a lawsuit against him. She's accusing her former husband of hacking into her cell phone and computer to uncover personal information for a tell-all book about her that he had in the works.
