Trump Adviser Kellyanne Conway ‘Shrieked Like Banshee’ In Meghan McCain’s Face Over Comments About Her Family

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway screamed in the face of former The View host Meghan McCain at an event this summer.

Conway approached McCain in the green room at a backstage panel hosted by the Washington Post for the 2024 DNC Convention. She began to verbally assault her for sharing her thoughts on her marriage to conservative lawyer George Conway. The former couple divorced last year.

“You’re in my space,” McCain repeated, “I’m uncomfortable.”

Those with a more sympathetic recollection said Conway waited for the area to clear so as not to create an unnecessary spectacle and approached McCain, saying, “You have no right to speak about my marriage like that.” Others observers claim Conway was “shrieking like a banshee,” and that McCain was trying to calm her down.

In the middle of her rant, eyewitnesses say McCain finally lost her patience and snapped back at Conway for her rude behavior.

“Do you have any idea how it felt to have Trump do what he did to my family?” An apparent reference to Trump’s attack on McCain’s father, the late Sen. John McCain.

“He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured,” Conway replied, reversing Trump’s attack line, before repeating, “I’m not Trump! I’m not Trump!”

Conway never insisted that she never raised her voice and was professional throughout the exchange. She claimed she “waited until the cameras and microphones were off” to privately and calmly address the public insults McCain directed at her family.

Going on the offensive, she went on to say McCain “may wish to outrun her recent past as a years-long resident Mean Girl on The View and Bravo, where her mouth was a spigot of vile [words] hurled toward people and topics she does not know.”

“The only reason why their marriage was ever a hot topic was because they were constantly airing their dirty laundry to America,” McCain said, referring to Conway’s previous public clashes with her daughter, Claudia Conway, and ex-husband, George, who repeatedly called Trump a “sociopath.”
