Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump, was criticized for posting a statement about his family’s “sacrifice” on social media.

In a post on X on May 24, Eric replied to another post made on the same day by the pro-MAGA X account.

The post included an image of himself, his wife, Lara Trump, his father, former first lady Melania Trump,  Donald Trump Jr. and his fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle standing together.

“The family that gave up everything to Save America,” the caption in Freedom’s post read. “Thank You!”

“And we will do it again,” the former president’s son wrote in response to the post.

During Memorial Day weekend, X users slammed Eric for the out-of-touch statement.

“Particularly disgusting to post this on Memorial Day weekend,” neoconservative writer Bill Kristol wrote in a post.

“I wasn’t going to tweet anything political this weekend, but I have to make an exception for this,” ex-Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R) stated in a post on Memorial Day.

“Your family has sacrificed nothing, your name will become synonymous with ‘Benedict Arnold,’ and how dare you tweet this, THIS weekend,” Kinzinger claimed. “You don’t know the first thing about service, you child.”

“The grift from this family never ends,” former U.S. army soldier Aquilino Gonell mentioned in a post. “Stolen valor. Claiming to have served the country without being in the military. How many years in service or # of deployment do you all have? FYI, Taking part in the events leading up to J6 doesn’t count as military service.”

In April, Eric told Fox & Friends that he “guarantees” that Trump will win the 2024 presidential election over President Joe Biden.

The former’s son noted the criticism of the Biden Administration from “upset” Americans. He also brought up the gag order against Trump and his sons, which would forbid him from discussing his legal battles.

During an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Eric implied that Biden and former President Barack Obama would be prosecuted if the Supreme Court decides that presidents should not be immune to criminal prosecution.

He stated that the former president that the system will target first is Obama for weaponizing “the IRS against conservatives.”

He also said that Biden would be a target “for having cocaine in the White House,” a reference to an incident where drugs were found in a visitors’ area.
