The series finale of Bones will be titled “The End In The End,” and will pick up from the cliffhanger at the end of the previous episode.

Season 12 episode 11 ended with our gang, Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan (Emily Deschanel), Angela (Michaela Conlin), and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) trapped inside the Jeffersonian with bombs exploding throughout the building. Also in the penultimate episode, Cam (Tamara Taylor) and Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) finally got married.

While it seems the main crew had no way of escape at the end of the episode, the showrunner Michael Peterson told fans to hold onto hope. “I [understand] if people are worried. But this is Bones. Have faith… Things are dire. They’re going to get worse before they get better. But ultimately, have faith. We will hopefully wrap it up in a way that’ll be satisfying. But hold on to your hats.”

Fox released a promo for the final episode, in which it hints at who may have survived the explosions. It is clear that Booth and Hodgins are ok, despite being covered in blood and bruises. While it seems Booth finds his wife Brennan unconscious, later she helps him find the man responsible for the bombs – Mark Kovac.

Angela, however, is nowhere to be seen in the trailer. The show has revealed that she is pregnant, so could they really kill off a pregnant character? Time will tell.

The synopsis for the episode states that the group must track down Kovac, but without the help of Brennan. It is then discovered that he had outside help, and the team must then locate his ally.

The Bones airs series finale airs March 28 at 9 pm on Fox.
