Eminem once sent a heartfelt letter to Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur to honor her son, with a sketch he drew of the rapper.

Eminem Sent Sweet Thank You Letter To Tupac Shakur’s Mother

The letter and sketch are currently on display at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Georgia, and show off a different side of Eminem. In the exceptionally neat note, Eminem thanked Shakur for her generosity, calling her “a true Queen.”

“I will never forget the opportunities you have given me. You will always be in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers. As I have said before, you have no idea how much your son and his music has inspired, not only the ‘Hip Hop’ world, but, speaking for myself, has inspired my whole career. He was, and still is, the true definition of a ‘Soldier,’” Eminem wrote.

Eminem added that it was Tupac’s music that gave him the courage to be himself, writing, “He gave me the courage to stand up and say ‘F—k the world! This is who I am! And if you don’t like it, go f—k yourself!’ Thank you for giving us his spirit, and yours.”

Included in his letter was a sketch of Tupac drawn by Eminem, who signed the letter and sketch by his birth name, Marshall Mathers.
