David Beckham’s Ex-Assistant, Rebecca Loos, Stands Firm On Claims Of An Affair With Soccer Icon

David Beckham’s former assistant, Rebecca Loos, doubled down on her claims that she and the famous soccer player had an affair.

Loos worked as Beckham’s personal assistant in 2003. Following her termination in 2004, she revealed that she and Beckham had a four-month-long affair while Beckham had been married to his wife, Victoria, for five years.

Beckham fiercely rejected these claims, calling them “ludicrous” in a statement to The Guardian in 2004.

In a new interview with News of the World, published on Saturday, Loos reiterated her story from 2004, saying that the affair started when Beckham invited her to a hotel while Victoria was out of town.

She said, “I fell hook, line and sinker for every single cliche line he fed me…and then two weeks later we were at Ronaldo’s birthday party, and he’s off with this beautiful model. And I was like, ‘Uh.’ That was a hard night for me. I was like, ‘Uh, I don’t understand.’ And realizations started to hit that I’d been massively played.”

Loos shared, “In my opinion, it was a very brave thing to do to go up against [Beckham and Victoria]…I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing. Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media, who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I have on my side was the truth.”

She added, “I think all of that impacted my mental health in a way that it was quite traumatic, but I didn’t admit to it being traumatic because I wanted to be brave and strong…But some of it seeped through and got to me and that has taken time to recover from.”

In a 2004 interview, Victoria shared her and Beckham’s experiences with the allegations. “It was hard for our entire families,” she said. “But I realized a lot of people have a price. David and I got through it together. No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road. But the fact is we’ve come out of everything we’ve been through stronger and happier. It’s even better now than when we were first married. After all these years, we can just come home and have a laugh together.”
