According to a statement by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a concertgoer has filed a police report after being “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.” The statement did not cite Cardi B, who was involved in the incident, but the address of the report is the same location as the venue where the rapper was performing on July 29.

Cardi B was performing at Drai’s Beach Club in Las Vegas when a member of the crowd threw a drink toward the stage. A video of the event shows Cardi B getting hit with the liquid, causing the rapper to retaliate by throwing her microphone into the audience as security ran into the crowd.

This interaction is just the most recent in a series of similar occurrences where audience members have thrown objects at artists performing on stage. Earlier this month, Harry Styles was hit in the eye with a flying object during his concert in Vienna. In June, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone, splitting her eyebrow and requiring stitches, and in a dangerous incident, Ava Max was slapped by someone who rushed onto the stage.

Earlier this month, Adele addressed the trend during her Weekends with Adele concert at The Colosseum in Las Vegas. “Have you noticed how people are forgetting f—ing show etiquette at the moment? People are throwing s— on stage. Have you seen that?” the singer asked. She later joked, “I f—ing dare you. I dare you throw something at me. I’ll f—ing kill you.”
