Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Not Press Charges Against Attacker Who Drop-Kicked Him
Arnold Schwarzenegger is not pressing charges against his attacker during the Arnold Classic Africa event in Johannesburg, South Africa.
“A lot of you have asked, but I’m not pressing charges,” he wrote. “I hope this was a wake-up call, and he gets his life on the right track. But I’m moving on and I’d rather focus on the thousands of great athletes I met at @ArnoldSports Africa.”
It was during the event that the assailant rushed and dropkicked the 71-year-old from behind. Schwarzenegger appeared unhurt and shook off the attack almost immediately.
“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about,” he wrote. “I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”
While Schwarzenegger isn’t looking to press charges, the situation might be out of his hands for the attacker, who reportedly said, “Help me! I need a Lamborghini,” while being dragged away.
