In her new memoir, the late Lisa Marie Presley reveals Michael Jackson was a virgin when the two met.

Presley’s memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown, was written with her daughter, Riley Keough, who took over after her mother died in 2023.

Presley met Jackson when she was 26, and he was 35. The two married in the Dominican Republic in 1994, 20 days after she divorced from Danny Keough.

“He told me he was still a virgin,” Presley wrote in the book. “I think he had kissed Tatum O’Neal, and he’d had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn’t been physical apart from a kiss. He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened.”

“I was terrified because I didn’t want to make the wrong move,” she continued. “When he decided to first kiss me, he just did it. He was instigating everything. The physical stuff started happening, which I was shocked at. I had thought that maybe he wouldn’t do anything until we got married, but he said, ‘I’m not waiting!'”

Presley recalls meeting Jackson in 1993 when he listened to her demo tape.

“I just thought that he was lonely and needed a friend. But he was pursuing me,” she said.

The pop icon told Presley he was “devasted” to hear she had married Keough, as he believed she should have been with him.

In her portion of the memory, Riley recalled calling “Michael ‘Mimi’ because my brother couldn’t pronounce his name.”

Presley remembered Jackson as an “amazing conversationalist” with “something about him that was truly remarkable, something that I’ve never ever seen or felt in my entire life, other than with my dad [Elvis Presley]. I feel really, really lucky that he let me in.”

Riley said Jackson moved into their Los Angeles home and would often bring a chimpanzee when taking her and her brother to school. Keough said her mom soon started sensing drug use by Jackson and noticing behaviors she knew from her own father.

“Michael was being really awful – he got mad at me for asking questions. I said, ‘What’s really happening here? If you have a problem, I’ll go with you to rehab,'” Presley wrote.

Presley filed for divorce from Jackson in 1995, and the divorce was finalized in 1996. Keough said Pressley continued to visit Michael at his home, and she continued to hook up with the pop star.

“We went back and forth for years. He had wanted me to have his children so badly, and I didn’t want to,” Pressley wrote.

Presley was in London when Jackson died in 2005 due to cardiac arrest caused by propofol intoxication. She said she sat with his coffin for hours after the funeral.
