Jessica Simpson, 42, continues to show off her 100-pound weight loss in an Instagram post with her husband, 43-year-old former football player, Eric Johnson, captioned “Last minute V-Day shopping for the kids with my man. PS these @jessicasimpsonstyle cowboy boots are on sale đź’š.”

Earlier this month, Simpson released her “short and true story” Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single, where she describes her “teenage fantasy” coming true upon embarking on a secret romance with a “massive movie star.”

The Dukes of Hazzard alum had previously not mentioned the fling in her 2020 memoir Open Book.

Simpson’s book reveals shocking revelations about her relationship with the unnamed, unavailable A-lister whom she claims to have first met at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. “This megastar, who I grew up thinking was so hot, eyeballed me up and down. Like he was undressing me with his eyes,” she told readers about their first meeting.

At the time, Simpson was on a break from her relationship with singer Nick Lachey, and although she got the A-lister’s number, she never called and reconciled with Lachey, whom she married in 2002.

Following their divorce in 2006, Simpson rekindles her secret romance after meeting the star at the Beverly Hills Hotel and sharing a kiss that sent a “warm rush all the way down my body,” she recalled.

Assuring her that his relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over,” the pair began spending time together in nightclubs, mutual friends’ houses, and even on a movie set. However, while Simpson found the hidden romance “sexy and enticing” at first, she recalls feeling like “there was also something demeaning about it. I felt like a call girl.”

Simpson soon ended things after realizing he had been sneaking her around in an attempt to hide her from “his chick.”

“I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of,” she recalled.
