As the federal sex trafficking trial of music mogul Sean Combs unfolds, pop star Justin Bieber has issued a statement to address speculation regarding his involvement.

A representative for Bieber confirmed that he is not among the individuals alleging misconduct by Combs. The statement emphasized, however, that real victims exist and deserve attention and justice.

“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”

The clarification comes in light of a resurfaced 2009 video showing a 15-year-old Bieber spending time with Combs. In the clip, Combs refers to spending “48 hours” with Bieber, making comments about “getting some girls,” which has raised questions given the current allegations against Combs.

Combs is currently facing serious charges, including trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. The trial began on May 12, 2025, and features testimonies from multiple alleged victims, including singer Cassie Ventura, who has accused Combs of prolonged abuse during their 11-year relationship.

Last week, a male escort testified that he saw Combs repeatedly beating Ventura.

Bieber’s statement aims to distance himself from the ongoing legal proceedings while acknowledging the severity of the accusations against Combs.
