Larry King To Divorce 7th Wife Shawn Southwick After Nearly 22 Years

Larry King is set to divorce his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick King, after nearly 22 years of marriage, it was reported Tuesday.

The 85-year-old former CNN host and Shawn, 59, married in 1997 and have two sons together: 19-year-old Cannon and 20-year-old Chance. 

The couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce, and they have reportedly been officially separated since June 6.

Larry said in 2016 that he was concerned over his wife allegedly cheating on him.

Shawn, a former television host and singer, denied being unfaithful in an August 2016 interview with Home & Family.

Larry previously filed for divorce from Shawn in 2010 after the National Enquirer revealed she had been having an extramarital affair with one of their sons’ baseball coaches. The coach later confessed to having an affair with Shawn, but she and Larry chose to remain together.

The former TV host has also been struggling with health issues in recent months. According to TMZ, Larry was admitted to the ICU in April. He also suffered from lung cancer approximately two years ago.

Larry has three other children from his previous marriages and also married and divorced Alene Atkins twice.

News of King’s divorce sparked dozens of jokes on social media.
