Fans are speculating that Taylor Swift was calling out Scooter Braun during a recent performance.

Swift took the stage at a concert on Wednesday in New York City, in honor of Amazon Prime Day. She performed some of her new songs, like “You Need to Calm Down” and “ME!,” as well as one of her older hits, “Shake It Off.”

During the finale of “Shake It Off,” the fans noticed something. The spoken section of the song reads, “Just think while you’ve been getting down and out about the liars and the dirty, dirty, cheats of the world, you could have been getting down to this sick beat.” People noticed that the singer enunciated, “the liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world.”

Many went to Twitter to share their thoughts about Swift calling out Braun.

“Sex is cool and all, but have you ever watched Taylor Swift shade Scooter and Scott during a female-led concert after reminding everyone she writers her own songs,” said one user who used the hashtag #Primedayconcert.

In addition to Swift calling out Braun, she also told the crowd, “One thing that has been really wonderfully consistent throughout the entire time that I’ve been making music is that I write all of it and it’s my favorite thing – to write songs and then they go out into the world and I’m really lucky that you guys are nice enough to care about those words that I’ve written, sing the words back to me. It’s legitimately the coolest feeling in the world.”

Swift’s announcement during the concert follows the drama between Swift and Braun, who bought Scott Borchetta‘s Big Machine Label Group. Swift wrote a post on Tumblr that explained how she felt about the situation and explained that Braun would have ownership of her master recordings.

She has noted that she is “now signed to a label that believes [she] should own anything that [she creates].”
