Suspected Colorado terrorist Mohamed Soliman told authorities that he harbored no remorse for his attack.

The incident occurred on June 2 when Soliman, 45, tossed two Molotov cocktails at a peaceful pro-Israel march in Boulder, injuring a dozen people. At least two were airlifted to Aurora for treatment.

Soliman told investigators he wanted to “kill all Zionist people” and had “researched on YouTube how to make Molotov Cocktails, purchased the ingredients to do so, and constructed them” in preparation for the attack. Court documents detailed that Soliman “had to use Molotov cocktails [for the attack] after he was denied the purchase of a gun due to him not being a legal citizen.”

At the time of his arrest, Soliman reportedly had 16 unused Molotov cocktails ready to be hurled at the crowd. Police said in an affidavit that Soliman hadn’t thrown all 18 Molotov cocktails because “he got scared and have never hurt anyone before.” However, authorities maintained that Soliman had expressed no regret for his actions. They asserted he “said this had nothing to do with the Jewish community and was specific in the Zionist group supporting the killings of people on his land.”

The police investigation found that Soliman praised the radical Islamist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, on social media for years before he carried out his firebombing attack. Soliman’s Facebook page, which was last updated a decade ago, is chock-full of posts expressing support for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty reported that Soliman would be charged in state court with 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder, eight with “intent and deliberation” and the other eight with “extreme indifference.” He is additionally being charged with two counts of use of an incendiary device and 16 counts of attempted use of an incendiary device. He is set to appear in court again on Thursday.

Soliman allegedly planned the attack for a year but waited for his daughter to graduate from high school before he carried out his ambush. His bond is presently set at $10 million.
