3.5/5
With 10 singers left and the semifinals just one week away, things on The Voice are really heating up.
THE VOICE RECAP
The evening started off with Adam Levine‘s contestant Billy Gilman, who says “Anyway” by Martina McBride beautifully. Then Courtney Harrell, coached by Black Shelton, comes out with 80s Cher classic “If I Could Turn Back Time.” Her outfit and singing are both hits. Next we hear Josh Gallagher from Team Adam sing Tim McGraw‘s “Real Good Man.”
Next up was Miley Cyrus‘s Aaron Gibson, who has been saved from elimination the past two weeks thanks to his fans voting at home. He sang an incredible rendition of Elton John‘s “Rocket Man.” Following a performance by Maroon 5, Christian Cuevas, coached by Alicia Keys, sang Lady Gaga‘s “Million Reasons.”
Team Blake’s Austin Allsup did “Missing You” by John Waite and showed his flair for the 80s pop scene. Team Alicia’s We McDonald beautifully sang “God Bless the Child” by Billy Holiday. Team Adam’s Brendan Fletcher did a slow rendition of “True Colors” and made it uniquely his own, and the crowd loved it. Sundance Head of Team Blake performed top 10 hit “Me & Jesus” and stunned the audience.
Finally, Team Miley’s Ali Caldwell used her powerhouse vocals to belt out Harry Nilsson‘s “Without You,” adding a wonderful end to the night.
Two singers will be eliminated tonight at 9 p.m.
