Leslie Jones was hacked, and nude pictures of the comedian and her personal information were uploaded to her website in the latest cyber attack carried out against her.

Leslie Jones Website Hacked

Jones, who stars in the new Ghostbusters reboot, had her website hacked overnight. The culprit of the despicable attack posted private nude pictures of Jones on the site. Pictures of her driver’s license and passport were also posted. The top of the hacked website featured a video of Harambe, the gorilla who was shot and killed at the Cincinnati zoo earlier this year over fears he was going to injure a small child.

The hacking, which appears to have been racially motivated, is being looked into by the FBI, according to the New York Daily News. While the authorities investigate the hacking, celebrities have been showing support for Jones on social media and slamming whomever has gone after her.

Paul Feig, who directed Jones in Ghostbusters, expressed his disgust with the perpetrators on Twitter. “What’s happening to [Leslie Jones] is an absolute outrage,” he wrote. “Alt right, haters, trolls, ‘comedians,’ whoever the f— you all are, you’re just sad.”

Others who came to Jones’ defense were fellow comedian Patton Oswalt and singer Katy Perry, who asked her fans not to look at the pictures stolen from the Saturday Night Live cast member.

Questlove has called the recent cyber attacks against Jones “hate crimes,” and actress Octavia Spencer expressed her disbelief that Jones was receiving so much hate for merely making a movie. Sara Bareilles called the attacks “misplaced sadness” and showed her solidarity with Jones.

Jones has yet to comment on the recent horrific personal attacks. She took a break from Twitter earlier this month after being on the receiving end of a number of racist attacks.
