Jordin Sparks Splits From Rapper Sage The Gemini

Jordin Sparks and her rapper boyfriend Sage the Gemini have broken up.

Sparks, 26, and Sage the Gemini, 23, have decided to call time on their relationship, according to People magazine. A source confirmed to the outlet that the former American Idol contestant and hip-hop artist had split, but did not provide further details on the reason behind the breakup.

Thought Sparks and Sage the Gemini had long been rumored to be dating since early 2015, Sparks didn’t confirm the relationship until last May. Over the summer, she opened up about the casual dates they went out on as a couple, and how great Sage the Gemini was as a boyfriend.

“He’s a great guy. He makes me smile every single day,” Sparks told People at the time. “He’s just very low-key and down to Earth as well. We don’t have to always worry about getting up and getting ready or feeling like we have to.”

Thus far, neither Sparks nor Sage the Gemini has spoken out about the breakup.

Sparks was previously in a longterm relationship with singer Jason DeRulo.
