‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Natalie Dormer Says Cersei Is ‘Least Of Her Problems’ On ‘Late Late Show’
In an appearance on The Late Late Show, Natalie Dormer didn’t give much away about super-show Game of Thrones.
Dormer, who plays noblewoman Margarey Tyrell, did her best to avoid telling host Jamie Corden too many spoilers. When the fifth season of the HBO show ended, Tyrell was imprisoned under the crime of perjury; she had lied to the High Sparrow, religious fundamentalist, and told him that her brother Loras had not committed homosexual acts. Thanks to the manipulations of Cersei Lannister, rival of Margarey, Tyrell and her brother were thrown into the infamous Black Cells.
While Dormer didn’t say much about her plight despite the pleas of Corden, she did let slip one tiny bit of information: “Cersei is the least of Margarey’s problems. She’s got bigger problems this season.”
Game of Thrones isn’t the only big project Dormer is in. She plays Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, which opens Nov. 20, and will feature in The Forest, a film set in the real-life Aokigahara Forest where people go to end their lives.
Another topic discussed in the interview was the fate of dragon Drogon. Actor Ty Burrell wanted to know if the dragons were okay. Dormer quickly reassured Burrell that the spears thrown into Drogon last season were CGI.
Dormer’s appearance wasn’t the only Game of Thrones news. Actor Ian McShane recently told Pop Goes the News, “I’ll give you one hint. I am responsible for bringing back somebody that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that.”
Game of Thrones season six does not have a release date, but is expected to start in late April or early May.
