Basketball legend Larry Bird’s son, Connor, was arrested at the University of Indiana after allegedly trying to hit his ex-girlfriend with his car… twice, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Bird, 21, and his ex-girlfriend apparently got into an argument at his apartment, which prompted Bird to throw a cellphone at her. Tensions seemed to simmer down, and later Bird drove his ex-girlfriend to a nearby parking lot, at which point they started to fight again and Bird got behind the wheel. The ex-girlfriend was taken to campus police and Bird was arrested. He currently faces charges of battery, criminal mischief, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and possession of marijuana.

Bird has had legal trouble in the past. He was arrested in 2011 for underage drinking and disorderly conduct, according to TMZ. —Hal Sundt
