Former 30 Rock star Katrina Bowden spoke about her new film Dead Wrong in her new uInterview.

The 2024 crime movie Dead Wrong follows a narcissist, driven by an insatiable thirst for wealth, who devises a reckless get-rich-quick scheme that sets off a chain reaction of violent consequences and engulfs the lives of everyone unfortunate enough to be caught in its path.

Bowden assessed her character’s role in the story. “She goes through this complete roller coaster of emotions and horrible things happening, and she’s just a lovely person who wants this big, beautiful normal life, and she gets everything but that,” she told uInterview founder Erik Meers.

She reflected on how she prepared herself for the role. “I mean, I’ve never been through what this character has been through, but I’ve been through things that have given me some sort of trauma, or some sort of, you know, bad, negative emotions, like, going to those places I kind of try to relate how my things I’ve been through could kind of be like hers,” she said. “I just kind of try to take my experiences and relate them to the character so that I can get that emotional equivalency in a performance.”

Bowden remembered what drew her to the part initially. “It was just so fun, there was so much happening, and the character herself goes through so much through the whole film, and at the end, you kind of, there’s wonder if she knew all along, or if she got a hint,” she added. “There was so much depth to her and all of the characters, and that’s what I look for when I look for a project. Something I can get my teeth into and really go far and try something that’s challenging that I haven’t done yet.”

Reflecting on her time on set, Bowden said, “We had a lot of fun. I mean, in a film like this, there’s this huge budget, everyone’s there because they really love the script and the characters, and they want to be there. So the atmosphere is just fun, like a little family.”

“One of the days I was on set was Halloween, and all of the crew dressed up, and I kind of forgot it was Halloween – when I showed up, I was just like, ‘Oh my god!'” she concluded. “That was pretty funny.”

In 2009, Bowden was one of the first celebrities interviewed for uInterview.com, discussing her hit TV show, 30 Rock.

“I’m not surprised,” Bowden said about the show’s success. “I’m more excited. Since the beginning we all knew that it was such a great show, and it was so witty and well done. We all loved it. It has always been critically acclaimed but now more people are becoming familiar with it. People are finally watching.”

Dead Wrong can be streamed now on Apple TV or Amazon Prime.
