Marissa Jade, ‘Mob Wives: The Last Stand’ Star, Dishes On Feud With Brittany & Talking ‘Business’ [VIDEO EXCLUSIVE]
Marissa Jade joined Mob Wives for its sixth and final season, The Last Stand, and stepped right into the drama – whether she likes it or not.
Marissa Jade On ‘Mob Wives’
A major arc for Jade on Mob Wives is her ongoing conflict with fellow star Brittany. According to Marissa Jade, who’s not one to revel in controversy, it all started over something that was said and then taken out of context. Though Marissa Jade doesn’t “hate” Brittany, it’s unlikely the two will be spotted in each other’s company any time soon.
“She could’ve handled the situation appropriately, but she chose to act like a child and she had to get schooled like one,” Marissa Jade told uInterview in an exclusive interview. “I don’t hate the girl. I wish her the best of luck in life, but she’s not my cup of tea and she’ll probably never ever be in my presence again.”
Jade got enmeshed in the Staten Island crew featured on Mob Wives through her boyfriend O.Z., who grew up with Renee and Drita. Other than with Brittany, Jade has managed to establish close friendships with the other “wives.”
“We talk a lot, we hang out a lot, we go away together and I like them a lot,” she said. “I created some genuine friendships and relationships with them and I’m happy to have.”
As could be expected, Mob Wives and its stars, have its fair share of detractors on Staten Island, where the final season was filmed. Jade, who ignores the haters, believes that she and the other women featured on the show know how to represent their lives without giving too much away.
“I’m not here trying to glorify the lifestyle, or talk about business that shouldn’t be spoken about,” she said. “Obviously us girls know what we’re doing, and we let the fans know enough to keep you entertained.”
“But, knowing the lifestyle,” Jade added, “Do you really think you’re gonna know everything?”
Mob Wives airs on VH1 Wednesdays at 8/7c.
Even though the show is based on controversy, unfortunately – something that I don’t really care for, but go figure I’m on this goddamn show – but I don’t know, I mean something was said, it got taken out of context and it just went from there. She could’ve handled the situation appropriately, but she chose to act like a child and she had to get schooled like one.
We don’t have a relationship, you know. I don’t hate the girl. I wish her the best of luck in life ,but she’s not my cup of tea and she’ll probably never ever be in my presence again.
I have a pretty good relationship with most of the girls. We talk a lot, we hang out a lot, we go away together and I like them a lot. I created some genuine friendships and relationships with them and I’m happy to have.
Well, my man is actually very close with all of them. He grew up in the same neighborhood; they grew up together. He’s really close with Renee, Renee’s family, Renee’s father. Drita basically lived in his family’s house because she was really close with his sister, so there’s a lot of history going on. I knew my boyfriend since 2006, so me and him have had history, we separated before he went away, but we always kept in touch when he got out. We reunited and we took it serious and I moved in with him, and I started getting really close to his family – one of his cousins in fact. His cousin is very, very close with all the girls, so I guess it just naturally went... I was hanging out with her, the girls would be over the house, we started forming a bond and the opportunity arose where they wanted me on the show, so you know, I took it.
I mean, I love working with them regardless of the drama. I really have a good time with the girls and I would love nothing more than to reunite with all of them and do something. But, if not, I mean, it’s not the last of me. Like I said, I’ve been in this industry before and I’m most certainly not gonna end here.
I kind of like tune everybody out. I understand where everyone’s coming from though, but you know, I came on this show with a different head, and I utilized it in a different way. I’m not here trying to glorify the lifestyle, or talk about business that shouldn’t be spoken about. Obviously us girls know what we’re doing, and we let the fans know enough to keep you entertained. But, knowing the lifestyle, do you really think you’re gonna know everything?
