The CBS series Supergirl is anticipating a second female hero will join the cast next year – Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.
After viewing recent crossover of The Flash and Supergirl, executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti said that they will be adding a familiar face to the popular series.
“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,” Berlanti said of the Wonder Woman alum. “We couldn’t work out her schedule. Next year.”
Kreisberg also added, “We’re going to do it, we’ll just do it next year.” He also added, “she’s the female president of the United States.”
Though the series hasn’t secured a second season yet, it is not definite whether the legendary actress will join. A renewal decision is expected soon.
The Flash-Supergirl crossover will air Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
